Lo scopo di questo sito è quello di fornire più informazioni possibili per aiutare a comprendere la situazione del nuovo Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2), l'agente eziologico della malattia COVID-19. SARS-CoV-2 potrebbe essere stato individuato per la prima volta già nell'ottobre 2019, ma l'annuncio ufficiale è arrivato a Dicembre 2019, con la provincia di Wuhan in Cina identificata come epicentro del primo contagio. Questa pagina mostra l'evoluzione del contagio fino ad oggi. Attualmente l'WHO ha attivato lo stato di emergenza. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, (direttore generale dell'WHO) l'11 Marzo ha dichiarato la condizione di pandemia dato che, fino a quel momento, 114 Paesi erano stati colpiti.
