The purpose of this site is to provide as much information as possible to help understand the situation of the new Corona Virus (SARS-CoV-2), the aetiological agent of the disease CoViD-19. SARS-CoV-2 may have been first identified as early as October 2019, but the official announcement came in December 2019, with Wuhan Province in China identified as the epicenter of the first contagion. This page shows the evolution of the contagion to date. Currently, the WHO has activated the state of emergency. On MArch 11, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the WHO, declared the pandemic condition since, until then, 114 Countries had been affected. In these pages, we have collected data, graphs, news and material useful to understand the evolution of the pandemic. All the reported data come from external sources listed at the end of this page.

The Countries currently affected by the disease caused by SARS-CoV-2, COVID-19, are :numcountries. Data are collected daily at 10:30AM from the GitHub repository of Johns Hopkins University, supplemented with continuous updates from official National sources of the affected Countries. The table shows numerical data of the visuals presented in the 2019 Novel Coronavirus Visual Dashboard of the Johns Hopkins University Center for Systems Science and Engineering (JHU CSSE), with the support of the ESRI Living Atlas Team and the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab (JHU APL).
